Worship puts God at the center of our vision. It is vitally important because it is only when God is at the center of our vision that we see things as they really are.

Women are like Macs. Men are like PCs.

Most women are like Macs and most men are like PCs. Like a Mac, there can be many ‘windows’ open (feelings and thoughts) on the screen of a women’s mind at any one time, versus the PC mindset of men, who is able to close each ‘window’ on his screen before going on to the next one. That is why most women can multitask and most men cannot.

While we are lively and young,
Living free and easy.
Here without a worry,
Dancing in our barefeet.
Cause when the summer’s done,
We might not be so lively and young.

When you keep saying you are busy, then you are never free.
When you keep saying you have no time, then you will never have time.
When you keep saying that you will do it tomorrow, then your tomorrow will never come.

When we wake up in the morning, we have two simple choices. Go back to sleep and dream, or wake up and chase those dreams. The choice is ours.

When the lights go down and there is nothing left to be,
When the lights go down and the truth is all you see,
And I wonder if all my life’s about.
The sum of all my fears and all my doubts,
When the lights go down.

We make them cry who care for us.
We cry for those who never care for us.
We care for those who will never cry for us.

This is the truth of life. It is strange but true.
Once you realise this, it is never too late to change.

Volunteering can be an exciting, growing, and enjoyable experience. It is truly gratifying to practice one’s ideal, see benefits, serve a cause, work with people, and know one had a hand in them. – Harriet Naylor

Time is like a river. You cannot touch the same water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again. Therefore, enjoy every moment of life.

The happiest people do not necessarily have the best things. They simply appreciate the things they have.

The condition for a miracle is difficulty, but for a great miracle it is impossibility.

Stepping up in style means making room for yourself.

Sports is like a war without the killing. – Ted Turner

Sometimes we can go through life with blinders on, not seeing or truly experiencing what is out there. It is safer that way. Accepting whatever we encounter as ‘reality’, and telling ourselves that we are perfectly fine with it. I was guilty of this. I am sure others are, too.

This is a day to remember, but also a day to forget. Everything started off smoothly at the OCBC Cycle Singapore 2011 Leaders’ Appreciation Dinner until it was time to go home. Forgetting to switch off the headlights of my car earlier caused my car's battery to be drained flat. This meant that I could not start my car’s engine to drive home.

After all the fun, laughter and photo taking, everything turned into frustration as my friends and I were trapped at Bottle Tree Park and it was getting late. In the end, my friends opted to take public transport home and I had to wait for my parents to drive another car down to my location to help me to jump start the car’s battery. What a disappointing day.

Someone’s trash could be another person’s treasure.

Sin will take you further than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay.

Real leaders are ordinary people with extraordinary determinations. – John Seaman Garns

Out Of The Pan offers an oasis for gourmets in search of innovative dining, the 92-seat restaurant specialises in both savoury and sweet crêpes, salads, soups and more. Delight in special crêpe creations from the menu or design your own. For those with a sweet tooth, Out Of The Pan also offers a tempting array of cakes, ice creams, and waffles.

Being my first time eating at Out Of The Pan, together with Hannah and Tse Yun, I am rather impressed with the food served there. Although the price of the food is a little on the high side, it is still value for money.

Colours! Bistro is located at Singapore Management University. Chingay Parade Singapore 2011 Leaders’ Appreciation was held there. The venue is pretty awesome because it gives you the type of atmosphere that makes you feel relax. It is also a good place to go to chill out with your friends.

There was no standard programme lined up for us, so we just played board games and card games brought by the organisers to keep ourselves entertained. There was also Wii and X-Box Kinect available, but those games did not allow us to have too many players, hence we chose the latter. There was much laughter going around and everyone was having a really good time. The finger food served was not bad but it was a little too oily.

It was finally time to go home and some of us exchanged contact numbers to keep in touch. The past few months of bonding sessions and training sessions certainly got us to know each other better. Looking back, it was a wonderful journey and getting to know some awesome new friends along the way was just great. Till we all meet again.

Over enthusiasm online can end up coming across as downright creepy.

To look like a gentleman, act like one.

Of all the free gifts we can receive, prayer is the very best one. There are no costs, but wonderful rewards.

None of us has the capacity to understand the wonders and ways of the God of heaven.

No one falls in love by choice, it is by chance.
No one stays in love by chance, it is by work.
No one falls out of love by chance, it is by choice.

Never explain yourself to anyone.

The person who likes you do not need it, and the person who dislikes you would not believe it.

OCBC Cycle Singapore 2011 is an annual mass participation cycling event held on closed public roads which encourages riders of all skill level, from beginner to professional, to take part.

The event aims to reach out to the whole family with a range of categories so that anyone can ride. Everyone is encouraged to participate in this cycling experience and visit the three day Cycling & Lifestyle Village as well as the pre/post-ride carnival events.

Volunteering for this event has certainly been fun but tiring. The volunteers I had were cooperative, friendly, and really enjoyable to work with. I am looking forward to this event again next year.

Money does not create man, but it is the man who created money. – Warren Buffett

Love as if nobody ever made you suffer.
Work as if you have no need of the money.
Dance as if nobody is watching you.
Sing as if nobody is hearing you.
Live as if the paradise were on this planet.

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God.

Life must be lived forward. Unfortunately, it can only be understood backward.
