Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2014
Dear Leaders & Volunteers,
I would like to thank you for your effort and taking the time to volunteer for Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2014.
Although there were many hiccups here and there, we all made it through and delivered the medals, finisher t-shirts and refreshments to the runners efficiently. I appreciate every single one of you and the effort you put in to ensure that the Athlete Welfare Area could function properly. Without you, this event would not have been a successful one.
I understand that there were many positive feedbacks from a lot of runners and a few negative feedbacks from a minority group of runners on social media. However, you can ignore the negative feedback as you all did a great job. Always remember that the race would not have started without the Start Point volunteers and it would not have ended without the Athlete Welfare Area volunteers which you are all part of. Most of you have been very cooperative and your enthusiasm and proactiveness in your duties definitely made the job of your leaders and mine much easier.
Your leaders should be gathering feedback from you and do let them know all your concerns and suggestions if you have any so that the event can be improved next year. I hope you enjoyed the experience of being a volunteer for Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2014 and hope to see you at future events.
