Hello Volunteers,

Chingay Parade Singapore 2012 is finally over. It was almost impossible to go around and thank all of you that day as it was getting really late and many of us were busy cam-whoring (yes, I was heavily involved). Below is the message I wanted to pass to you.

On the behalf of the organisers and the YPC, Korrine & I would like to personally thank everyone for making our job as leaders a great experience. The long training sessions and the two days of parade that you have gone through, not forgetting the motivational talks, were definitely time consuming despite your busy schedule. We also understand that it may be boring at times, but we all persevered and pressed on. We are just glad to say that you all have made it through and you all have been very cooperative. Your attendance for both parades was great too.

Although Chingay Parade Singapore 2012 has come to an end, your volunteering journey has just begun. The experience you gained through this event is invaluable and you may not find it elsewhere. The new friendships forged will certainly go a long way and do continue to keep in touch with each other. Our Facebooks are the emails we used to email you. You can also go and tag yourself in all the photos taken which I will upload soon.

We would also like to apologise to any of you if you felt offended by us at any point of time. As leaders, we hope you understand that we were working under pressure as well and sometimes we tell you off without considering your feelings.

Lastly, if you have any feedback that you were too shy to voice out, kindly email us so that improvements can be made to this event in the future.

God Bless,
Joey Lim
